Peter Yarrow Benefit Concert |

Monday, March 15, 2010
7:00 PM
East Liberty Presbyterian Church
(116 S. Highland Avenue)
Join Peter Yarrow of "Peter, Paul and Mary" for a concert benefiting EECM's Have a Heart for Hunger campaign! Admission to the concert is free -- an offering will be taken up during the concert, and non-perishable food items will also be collected.
About Peter:
Since high school Peter Yarrow’s commitment and life’s work have been directed by awareness that music of conscience can have an extraordinary effect when utilized in efforts to transform society. As a performer and social activist, Peter has used music to inspire and bring people together to mobilize and create a more just, peaceful, and compassionate society. Through such efforts, beginning in the early 1960’s, the music of Peter, Paul and Mary became, for literally millions of people, the genesis of their awakening to activism, idealism, and a life long commitment to making positive social change.

Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra
7th Annual Community Partners Concert
|
Thursday, June 24, 2010
Heinz Hall 7:30 PM
EECM has been chosen by the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra to participate in this year’s Community Partner Concert. Almost $500,000 has been raised for local charities since this program began. This is a great opportunity to see one of the premier orchestras in the country and support EECM while doing so.
The first half of the concert will include favorite selections from the Orchestra and a solo violin performance by 2010 Sphinx Competition Winner, Gareth Johnson. The second half of the concert will feature Gloria Gaynor, of ‘I Will Survive’ and ‘Never Can Say Goodbye’ fame, performing with the Orchestra.
100% of the price of the ticket (less $0.50 for the Cultural District) will go directly to EECM. Ticket prices will be $21.50, $41.50, $51.50, $61.50. A limited number of $125.50 tickets will be available for the concert and include a great seat and an invitation to attend a post-concert reception with Honorary Chair, Lynn Swann. This reception will have light hors d’ouevres and a cash bar.
Update: Gloria Gaynor has confirmed that she will also be in attendance at the VIP reception with Lynn Swann!
Tickets may be purchased directly through EECM by contacting Tim Brown, Community Relations Coordinator at 412-361-5549 or timb@eecm.org.
