From shelter for the night to transitional housing programs, EECM helps to provide the safety, comfort, and sense of security that are so essential in life. EECM offers a wide range of assistance to meet individual needs and help people move toward self-sufficiency.

MEN’S EMERGENCY SHELTER provides a refuge for the night, an evening meal, and breakfast for any male older than 18. In addition, the men work on a treatment plan to prepare for permanent housing. The shelter relies heavily on volunteers and is always looking for groups willing to provide the evening meal.

The Shelter is located at East Liberty Presbyterian Church,

116 S. Highland Avenue. Doors

open at 7:00 pm every night of

the year; guests are welcome to stay until 8:00 am the following morning.

The DROP-IN CENTER is a comfortable place where people with mental health problems, drug / alcohol dependency, and other challenges can enjoy leisure time. Counselors from local facilities and assistance programs are available to lend further support. Located at Fourth Presbyterian Church in Friendship, 5450 Friendship Avenue, the Center is open weekday afternoons from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm.

BRIDGE HOUSING* is a one-year residential program for men who are transitioning from emergency shelter to independent living. The program includes one-on-one counseling, case management, and group participation.

PENNFREE HOUSING* provides rent support, group counseling, and case management for men and women who are recovering from drug / alcohol addiction.

SAFE HAVEN* provides housing and support for up to eight chronically homeless men who have mental health problems. Residents enjoy a stable environment where they can work toward a new and better lifestyle.

ORR COMPASSIONATE CARE CENTER* offers 24-hour shelter and nonmedical respite care for adults who are unable to return to their prior housing situation, and are in need of a supportive place to recuperate after being discharged from the hospital.
