Success Story Donald came to East End Cooperative Ministry after a successful completion of inpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation. Donald was involved in the criminal justice system and when he came to us, he was determined to not continue the revolving cycle of jails and institutions. Donald became employed within his first month of being in the recovery house. He worked diligently on saving his money, attending dual diagnosis therapy to assist him with maintaining his mental wellness, developing relapse prevention strategies, and building a foundation for long term recovery. Donald was able to move into safe, affordable housing within three months. He is now a driver for the same treatment center he graduated from just 6 months ago. He is able to help men and women get into treatment safely and will often speak about the opportunities and resources available at EECM that helped him build his recovery and try to help others recover as well in a safe, supportive community. “This is Recovery” (Donald D.)
